Last year we held the world’s first conference on fast data strategy, and it was an outstanding success. We presented over 20 sessions on the power of data virtualization, including customer presentations, technical deep-dives, and live demos, and Forrester analyst Noel Yuhanna lead a keynote and contributed his expertise in a number of sessions.

This year’s Fast Data Strategy conference will focus on big data fabric, which is Forrester’s solution to the problem of big data projects that result in data silos. We’re focusing on big data fabric because we’ve seen many big data projects that end up failing in value due to data silos.

Big data fabric is comprised of six layers: data ingestion, processing and persistence, orchestration, data discovery, data management and intelligence, and data access, and the Denodo Platform plays a key role in all of the layers, especially in the data discovery layer, which requires data virtualization.

Turning Big Data into Big Insights
In this year’s Fast Data Strategy conference, Forrester analyst Brian Hopkins, an authority on systems of insight, will deliver the keynote. Systems of insight are based on big data fabric, and they enable companies to discover their most important insights, bring them to customers and employees through the software they regularly use, and continuously measure the results. He will also sit on a panel of experts to discuss the development of advanced and predictive analytics using big data fabric.

Here are a few more sessions:

Logitech: Avinash Deshpande, principal for big data and advanced analytics, will show how data virtualization, acting as a big data fabric layer, provided a critical foundation in facilitating Logitech’s migration to cloud-based analytics.
The Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory: Chief enterprise information architect Clinton Cohagan will describe the journey companies take in building an effective big data fabric. He will cover the role of real-time, agile, and IoT-aware data services, and how best to implement these critical technologies.
Hortonworks (Partner): Piet Loubser, VP of Product and Solutions Marketing, will talk about data-at-rest and data-in-motion, and how to harness the critical juncture between the two to enable next-gen data architectures that power modern analytics.
Looker (Partner): Nouras Haddad, director of technology alliances, will cover the ways in which companies can move from traditional integration technologies to logical architectures that enable agile analytics. The presentation will include use cases and logical architectures from successful implementations.

And, that’s not all of it. If you want to learn how to get the most from your big data investments, register now for the next Fast Data Strategy conference, which will happen in the Americas on March 29 and in EMEA and APAC on March 30; you won’t regret it.
